What’s been happening:

My wife Marnie and I are retired and live in The Woodlands near our married daughter Kathy Schaffer-Lee. When not entertained by our marvelous grandson Dylan and a beautiful granddaughter Addison, we cruise, fly or drive to international and national scenic and historical sites. Model trains are a favorite hobby and enjoyed often by the grandkids. Recapturing my theatre arts days at Penn State, I perform with a community theatre group. Recently I wrote, produced, directed, and acted in my first play called "Scuttlebutt" about my Vietnam Navy experiences. "Ramblings" is my next play about coming of age during the sixties that includes a few Penn State follies. Also, I continue my genealogical, legacy research about the Schaffer, Wimmer, Pachuta, and Lee families. Favorite Penn State memories include working as a dorm counselor in Nittany Halls, ice cream cones on hot summer days, snowy cold winter nights, and raucous Rathskeller Vietnam Vets meetings, taking flower garden wedding pictures, and Harvey Wallbangers with friends at the Corner Room on lazy Friday afternoons. Undoubtedly the quality of my Penn State education contributed to my successes as a member of University of Delaware, University of Houston and University of Texas Medical School as well as a management consultant at Geosource, Rockwell International Space Operations and Texaco. I have many pleasant memories from those carefree school years.
